Plugin is apparently monetized for the developer

After adding this plugin to my site, I began having random Google links appear throughout my blog posts. The plugin itself worked well, but I disabled it and the links went away. It appears to me that the free version of this plugin is monetized for the developer, although I didn’t see that written anywhere prior to downloading and activating it.
