Support » Plugin: Invite Anyone » [Plugin: Invite Anyone] Cannot Save Changes on Groups (Are you sure you want to do this?)

  • WebEndev

After extensive testing, I can say that the Invite Anyone plugin is preventing updates on groups.

After clicking ‘Save Changes’, the WP screen with message

Are you sure you want to do this?

    comes up.

I deactivated all plugins except BuddyPress, and GenesisConnect (I am using the Genesis framework and it is therefore necessary), and this plugin. The error appears when Invite Anyone is activated, and goes away when it is deactivated.

Using v1.0.15 of Invite Anyone, and BP 1.5.7
Is anyone else seeing this problem?

Very odd. I can’t reproduce this error on any of my own installations.

The error you describe is generally caused by a failed nonce check. I’ve scanned through all the nonce checks in the plugin, and none are jumping out at me as potentially problematic. It’s especially strange because Invite Anyone doesn’t have a group admin panel.

A couple of guesses (out of left field!):

    – Do you happen to have a URL argument called ‘clear’ when saving your group admin screens? Something like:

    – Is there any chance you can switch temporarily back to the bp-default theme (and disable GenesisConnect), just to test this issue? If it could be narrowed to an incompatibility with Genesis(Connect), it would really help narrow things down.

    – Have you tried disabling some parts of the plugin? At Dashboard > BuddyPress > Invite Anyone > Access Control, try limiting access to various parts of the plugin. That’ll make less of it load at different times, which might help.

    Hi Boone,

There’s some odd things going on with this. I need to do more testing. I will get back to you.

    Thank you for reply
