• Hello,

Im trying to figure out how to maintain a 2×2 pic grid widget “thumbnail” layout, but have the slideshow display all available photos when it pops up.

Currently, with the widget selection of 4 Pics, it looks as intended, but I only see 4 Pics in the slideshow. Alternatively, when I set it to show All images, I do see all images in the slideshow, but then have a very long and unruly strip of thumbnails coming down off the widget in the footer.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Craig

  • Not sure what you mean by “when it pops up.” Do you mean when you move your mouse over it the remaining photos appear in a bigger box (an onmouseover javascript event)? Or do you mean that the photos change periodically, rotating through your entire album (more like a slideshow, with four spots for thumbnails)? Or do you want the pictures to update as you take them without having the reader reload the page?

The widget is meant to be static, so that when you set it to display 4 images, you only display same 4 images, until you reload the page. If you’re needing a moving slideshow, you will need some good ole javascript hackery. Maybe this is more what you’re looking for? http://embedagram.com/

Edit: just re-read the description and saw that it claims to be a slideshow. I’ve not been able to get this behaviour myself. Fancybox makes it so that the larger version of the image floats on top of the rest of the page when you click on the thumbnail… it doesn’t do any “sliding” at all.
