 * How do I recover from a plugin install that did not make it all the way? I attempted
   an installation that did not succeed and the plugin does not show up in the list
   of installed plugins. However, when I try to install it again, this is what I
   get:
 * Unpacking the package…
 * Installing the plugin…
 * Destination folder already exists. /home/moontube/public_html/wp-content/plugins/
   PrimaryPlugins7-29-10/
 * Plugin install failed.
    **************** How can I delete the faulty subdirectory
   so I can make a clean installation of the plugin?

 * Using [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients) or whatever file management
   application your host provides.

 * Thanks esmi. I did what you suggested. However, there is still a problem. My
   host’s file manager shows the new plugin along with my other plugins. However,
   the WP plugins screen does not show it. This is the same indication I was getting
   before, so I suspect the plugin was indeed there originally on my host, but somehow
   it is not showing up on wp-admin/plugins.php. Any help would be appreciated.

 * Try [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin.

 * Hi Esmi,
 * I don’t know what you mean by restting the plugins folder. Using Filezilla for
   FTP, I can see the plugins folder on the remote site. I don’t see how to “reset”
   it.

 * Ive Just installed the WP E Commerce Plugin and now i get a internal 500 server
   error, do you think ” Try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. ”
   would help?
 * Thanks 🙂
