# Plugin Install Failures

 * Hello,
 * I have been seamlessly installing plugins and working my blog for months. I am
   now getting the message:
 * “Installing Plugin: Default Post Content 1.0
    Downloading install package from
   [http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/default-post-content.1.2.zip](http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/default-post-content.1.2.zip).
 * Unpacking the package.”
 * However, the plugin is not being installed onto my site. I recently switched 
   from Hostgator to 1and1… But am not sure if that is the reason or not.
 * It will also, not allow me to automatically update to wordpress version 2.9.2.
   I get an error saying: “An automated WordPress update has failed to complete”
 * Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!
