    Hi a01,

    Sadly, the plugin can’t support merged cells without a complete rewrite. This is because the current implementation uses CSV output from Google to create the HTML table, and to the best of my knowledge, CSV output doesn’t support merged cells. I would need to rewrite the plugin to use the Google API in order to support this feature request.

    That’s not something I can do immediately, but may one day be able to offer. Naturally, patches from others are welcome, as well.

    If you would like to see this feature appear sooner rather than later, I also encourage you to submit it as a feature request on the GitHub issue tracker I use to manage the plugin’s development.
