Hi everyone, I would like to install a Tag Cloud into the footer (actually called a “dashboard” by the person who designed the site).
I can’t find a way of getting it to show on my site through the Plugins page. I have uploaded/activated it to find that nothing has happened. What am I doing wrong?
I am familiar with cutting and pasting php so I can do it that way if it is sensible.
NB. At present I am running everything on a subdomain until I have gotten things looking serious. I can then duplicate the code and get my site running.
Thanks, everyone! Really great to hear from you all.
there are a few options:
– the footer is already ‘widgetized’ so you can use the default ‘tag cloud’ widget from dashboard – appearance – widgets or a different tag cloud by a plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=tag+cloud
– the footer is not ‘widgetized’ but you can ‘widgetize’ the footer; http://codex.wordpress.org/Widgetizing_Themes and then use the widget;
– hardcode the tag cloud into footer.php; http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_tag_cloud
