    This plugin seems to impose its own favicon site-wide even when an “under maintenance” mode is not currently enabled.

    Hi,
    After UCP is disabled it has absolutely no effect on the site. The reason you see the old favicon is the cache. Empty it, server and client side, and all will be good.

    That’s just it: I emptied all caches, server side and client side, but the favicon persists.

    I don’t have the URL so I can’t check specifically but based on years of support experience with UCP on similar issues – it’s just cache 🙁 Open the console, reload the page and then force-reload it one more time. It helps sometimes.
