Support » Plugin: Blogger Importer » Plugin Import posts and comments but shows wrong comments

  • Hi.

I need a little help with a migration.

I’m able to import posts and comments. If I check the backend I can see properly the relation with posts and comments but when I go to the front end I see other comments that they have no relation with the post that I’m reading.

    Any suggestions??

    Thanks in advance

  • Other explanation.

What It happens is that when a see a single post shows comments from other dates…. But, as I said, in the backend -> comments the comments are linked with the correct posts.

    Thanks in advance.

If you are running any form of caching plugins, disable them entirely before doing the import, and clear any caches you may have after the import. Import operations usually bypass caches, for speed. So caches will be totally invalidated by an import operation, meaning they need to be disabled completely first or cleared completely afterwards.

    Hi again.

There is no caching plugins. I only have the import plugins installed. I’m trying to figure out why in the backend the comments are ok but in the front end not….

    Any other idea?

Well, basically, if they’re okay in the back end, then they’re okay in the front end too, unless something like a cache plugin is doing something weird or stupid. Both areas pull the same data, so they can’t realistically show different things unless something else is interfering.

Try using the default 2013 theme. See if the comments show correctly then.
