Support » Plugin: Redis Object Cache » Plugin ignores define( ‘WP_REDIS_HOST’, ‘xx.xx.xx.xx’) when external

    Greetings,
We are experimenting w/ redis for caching and came across your plugin. We are looking to scale, so external redis / memcache is our only option. Using the options found in your github connections readme.md (https://github.com/rhubarbgroup/redis-cache/wiki/Connection-Parameters), we set our option in wp-config.php to go to the external instance of redis. However, upon enabling object caching, localhost is displayed irrespective of the configuration option picked up and displayed within diagnostics.

    Thanks,

Place the constant higher up in your config file. It’s likely too far down.

Thank you. Are there any known benefits to using this with W3 Total Cache or are they mutually exclusive? Looking to gain every bit we can here 😉

I personally prefer WP Rocket, but W3TC works with Redis Object Cache 👍🏻
