Support » Plugin: iframe » [Plugin: Iframe] Anyway to make the same_height_as= adjust to target as it changes

  • This is a cool plugin. But I’m trying to put an iframe that has different sizes in height. It’s basically a forum that I’m using in an iframe, but using same_height_as= only makes the iframe height the same as the home page. It doesn’t change if you go to a different page within that iframe.

So if a page is taller than the home page, it doesn’t all show up.

“same_height_as” works only with the same domain.
Are you embedding page from the same domain?
In other cases (embedding other site) this feature will not work.

Well, it’s one of my sub-domains. I’m iframing a site that’s on one of my sub-domains of the main site. It works well on the home page, but once you click on another page on that sub-domain, it maintains the original home page height. I was hoping that it would re-size itself.

It does not work with subdomains. It works only with same domain.
So sub1.site.com and site.com is like different sites.
On site.com javascript can change height of embedded page site.com/page.
But on site.com javascript could not access to embedded page sub1.site.com.
I know, it is very strange, but this was made in browsers because of security reasons.
