  • Am I missing something, or do you really need to go through this process for every song…
    Update to media library
Make a note of MP3, OGG, AND cover art link
Manually input each of these for every song, and be sure to not make a mistake or you’ll need to start over.
It looks like a great plugin with lots of potential, but it was a pain to just add one song. I’m not sure why there isn’t a simple option to choose the songs and images from the media library?

Yup might add an ‘upload’ button to these fields so users can upload or navigate to the file in media library. For users with long playlists I figured this method was actually quicker – you can bulk upload all your audio files via ftp with consistent file naming then copy and paste the URL with adjusted song name… but yeah its a feature that can be added easily enough if lots of people want it. So far this is the first comment about it. *shrugs*

A bulk uploader would be really handy.
The media can bulk upload easily, but then you have to go get the url for each track to paste it

Why not implement some shortcut tool to select tracks from the media library?
This is really clunky, and I just paid 25 bucks for it.

And, when I add songs, they disappear. Only the most recent one shows up as added to the playlist in the playlist editor.
An hour of my life wasted.
I have Yoast installed and I need it. What is the nature of the conflict with Yoast? Does Yoast cause this plugin not to function, or is it the other way around?

OK, it was a character in the playlist title.
But now, when the playlist is embedded via the provided shortcode, the sample song plays – I don’t know where it came from.. and the tracks I added are not showing up in the playlist, although they are now showing up in the playlist manager

Upload button was added a few versions back. Bulk uploader would certainly be nice, but sorry jonburr it’s not a simple quick easy thing to implement. It’s on my list of possible features for the future.

I don’t know if this helps – I had exactly the same feeling when filling in the playlist form. Then it occurred to me to open a second broswer window and go to the media library (that’s where I keep my tracks but it could be a window to a remote directory where the files are stored) – then it’s just a cut and paste job to paste the file links into the ogg / mp3 fields in the form, save and move to the next. What seemed like a daunting job took 5 minutes. Of course its even easier if you have two monitors, but the idea is the same on a single screen.
