 * I am new to wordpress and php. How do I insert a plugin like calendar, image
counter, online-stats n etc into my blog?
 * I know I need to put <? bla bla ?> but most plugin doesn’t come with that, so
I assume that the creator thought everyone know how to do it?
 * Is it a standard or what? Can anyone help me?
 * By the way, some plugin need to alter my database right? I am using CPanel for
   my web host.
 * Can anyone let me know what kind of permission should I set?
 * And which folder? I know CHMOD but doesn’t know what level all these plugins
need, and I can’t possibly set all to 777 because that’ll expose my server to
   hackers. 🙁

 * Too many questions for one post 😉
    1. Calendar. It comes with WP, no need for
plugin. 2. Usually every plugin has a readme or in the plugin file there some
instructions about install. Read them. 3. You cannot set permissions on DB. 4.
Don’t ask “empty” theoretical questions. It’s waste of time, bandwidth.
 * Pick the plugins you want, try to install them as it is described in the files,
and if doesn’t work, ask the author. Finally, if nothing works – come back and
   ask a concrete question.
