• Hi. My site (http://www.edenmiqedem.com) basically consists of 6 or so “pages” only, each of which displays multiple posts from a particular category. Each “page” is reached by clicking a menu item on the the navigation bar. Sometimes, the same post will be be in more than one category, and then appear on more than one page. I basically NEVER allow my viewer to reach an single post, or page other than these 6 category pages. What’s the best way to avoid “duplicate content” problems?
Should I set “no-index” on ALL pages/posts EXCEPT my category pages?

  • Hi JSN,

If content is duplicated you can take advantage of the the canonical tag and, yes, using “noindex, follow” is telling Google to not index those ‘repeated’ pages.

Another option would be to create unique content (as much as possible) on those category pages, but don’t ask me how ;-), I’m currently looking for a solution on how to do it.
