Multisite: Blog Admins can't save settings (4 posts)

In a WP multisite environment individual blog admins aren't able to save any settings. They only get an error message stating they don't have enough rights. Only network admins can save settings.

This is probably just a matter of checking the correct roles in the plugin code?

That's odd... the add_options_page is called with the "manage_options" capability, which should be available to regular administrators & not just network administrators.

The truth is that I created that admin page a few years ago, before I was aware of the WP Settings API, so that may be part of the problem. Do you see an error generated with WP_DEBUG set to true?

I think I've found a workaround for this issue within multisite.

You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

Instead, click on the Settings panel of your Dashboard (as in http://frutke.com/wp-admin/options-general.php), then click on the Haiku Player Settings link (as in http://frutke.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=haiku_player).

This allowed me to access the plugin's settings and mmmmm, fresh-baked cookie goodness.

I have the same issue, using WP 3.5.1 as the administrator. Frutke's workaround worked well, but it's annoying.
