[Plugin: Grou Random Image Widget] Error loading image

    I have installed the “Grou Random Image Widget” in a WP 3.0.1 Multisite environment and activated it for a single Site. After integration and adaption of the widget-element and copying images to a new subdir i get an error message on the position of the website where the images should be shown: “Error Loading /wp-content/plugins/grou-random-image-widget/festplakate/plakat01.png”. The directory is right and interestingly the image name “plakat01.png” is detected correctly.
    Looks like an rights problem – but all users have read access to the directory and images.
    Any idea?

    Hello Grou,
    There is already a decision of this problem? I have on a site the same mistake Error loading
    All tried – nothing helps!

    I dont think they care about this problem since clearly its 1.17 version now and they haven’t solved it. Maybe they should hire someone who actually knows what they are doing. I apologize for saying all this but this is so frustrating..

    It is precise. widget many use it, really problems have arisen only at us?

    Too I have not found the decision in the Internet.It widget began to show incidentally only links instead of pictures.

    I understand it can be frustating, but I m doing this on my spare time. I have a job and a family. I m also very frustrated that so many people is using my plug-in and only one did a donation. I’m not looking after the money but sometime it can be very motivating to know that your works worth something.
    As for your problem, please update to the last version and tell me if it still doesn’t work and I’ll have a second look to your website.

    @grou; I fully understand that debugging a certain widget is not your top priority 🙂

    Hope I can contribute a bit or point you in the right direction. Plugin version 1.17 and 1.18 both work, as long as you don’t use the ‘picture aspect’ (which seems to be using GD Version)

    I have two sites, one is running perfectly the 1.18 version WITH ‘picture aspect’ enable, the other one doesn’t.

    I could find out that the one that does run, has this version:

    GD Support enabled
    GD Version bundled (2.0.34 compatible)
    FreeType Support enabled
    FreeType Linkage with freetype
    FreeType Version 2.4.4
    GIF Read Support enabled
    GIF Create Support enabled
    JPG Support enabled
    PNG Support enabled
    WBMP Support enabled
    XBM Support enabled

    while the one that doesn’t, has following info

    gdGD Support enabled
    GD Version 2.0 or higher
    FreeType Support enabled
    FreeType Linkage with freetype
    FreeType Version 2.3.7
    T1Lib Support enabled
    GIF Read Support enabled
    GIF Create Support enabled
    JPG Support enabled
    PNG Support enabled
    WBMP Support enabled

    Perhaps this helps in tracing back the issue? If the people what a non-working widget could post their version here as well, we might be able to help out GROU 🙂
