Hi deepbevel,
Just create a page in wordpress (you should already have one called “about” there, I think) and name it whatever you want. Then put the shortcode in the main text area where you usually type your post content.
Pls let me know if it’s still confusing.
I did as you said, It shows a black box with a link to single post for all but one of the items on the page. Oddly, it also shows the same content repeated below the grid, but as the ussual Wp list-style.
I’m trying to use it with shortcodes that render products from a shopping cart plugin, it’s odd though because the links in the grid don’t link to the single item product pages. Instead they link to posts I created for a product slideshow. I don’t understand where the grid is getting those links, the product shortcodes link to the product pages, so the grid is doing some kind of over ride on the linkage. Any thoughts?
thanks!
Okay, I figured out what’s wrong, the products rendered by the shortcode are on pages, not posts. So the grid code is grabing the posts because they have the same names as the pages. Also I turned off or left blank all the settings for the grid archives and now it shows the post image in the box.
So I assume the grid will not load content from pages, only posts. I wish I could make my products as posts instead of pages, I’ll look into it.
Also, I notice the grid doesn’t reduce the image size of the post and shows a random crop. Any way to control that?
Also, I assume the repetition of non-grid content below the grid is related to the page-post issue. I guess my product shortcode is determined to render the page content one way or another.
Do you have a url or screenshot about the issue you encountered? I’m not sure I fully understand the problem you’re describing.
About the image size, I think you can make the post box a little large to contain that image. The plugin don’t handle image size right now.
