[Resolved] [Plugin: Greg's High Performance SEO] [Plugin: Greg's High Performance SEO] Category-Archi

  • Hi,

I need to change the meta-description tag for some specific category-archives. Is there no way to edit the meta-description for a single-category? The WordPress Category-Description is not an option because it’s used otherweise…

If i try to specify the description directly in the header.php with if (is_category('XX')), it works but GHP-Seo just puts its description from the settings directly behind it. Is there any way to prevent GHP-Seo from adding the meta-description if there’s already one specified?

    Best Regards

    Jan

If you have a peek at the instructions for the plugin, under “Expandability for Developers”, there’s additional information about how to filter/modify the contents of GHPSEO’s output or main title, secondary description, or meta description.

(There’s also a big ole link at the top of the page for information and FAQs.)

    All the best,
    Greg
