Hello there @pigsound ,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and for your kind words about MailPoet. We’re really glad to hear you enjoy working with the plugin. I completely understand how frustrating it can be when debit card payments fail, especially when you need to send a newsletter urgently.
To help us investigate this further, could you please share a bit more information with us? For example, are most of your clients who experience this issue based in the EU region, and are they using popular or similar banks? This information will help our team look into possible patterns or regional payment issues.
We truly appreciate your patience and your commitment to helping your clients. Your feedback is valuable in helping us improve the payment experience for everyone.
hi ojoma,
thanks for your reply.
yes, my clients are all in the EU region, they are using popular banks.
the client that is struggling with card payment right now reached out to his bank and found out that mailpoet had been blacklisted for some reason. the bank then checked and removed mailpoet from the blacklist.
now i wonder what is the next step to be done by the client? does he have to go through the payment procedure in his mailpoet account again?
Hi there @pigsound ,
We haven’t received reports of MailPoet being added to a blacklist. However, since your client’s bank cleared that on their end, they should be able to purchase a plan now.
I’d just like to note something that my colleague may have overlooked. MailPoet plans do not support debit cards, I’m afraid. Only credit card is supported. Therefore, I don’t expect that the payment will work with a debit card.
If your client does not have a credit card, I’d recommend looking for a prepaid credit card solution.
I hope this clarifies!
hi gui,
thanks for your reply – sorry for the confusion: i actually meant credit cards.
after the bank cleared their black list, the transaction worked at last.
Hello again @pigsound ,
Thank you getting back to us and letting us know.
I’m glad to hear that the transaction worked.
Have a good week ahead.
