    @blackclover – Could you share what you did to fix this? There are a lot of us having this problem… it would take the weight off Zack’s shoulders if you were able to share the solution.

    @blackclover – Thanks. I’m using the updated version, but still seeing a spinning wheel when I try to “Select the form to tap into”. What version of WordPress are you using? What internet browser are you using?

    I’m on WordPress 3.3.2 using Google Chrome. I’m really curious as to what is causing this issue.

    Im using the same set-up as you. have you tried using the chrome developer console (press f12) and check the console tab for errors.

    here is a possibility;

    I had this same issue with a site i was building for a client, and it turned out that the client had their icontact account changed by icontact to FDO (Forced Double Opt-In) because they sent an email that had too many bounces. icontact changed their settings without them knowing, and that setting also turns off any possible API connection. Which means they could not use any API setting until they called into icontact support and cleared the whole thing up.

    Also this took 3 different calls and emails to iContact for them to actually figure out and confirm that this was the issue.

    Problem has since be changed and the plugin has been working since.. with WordPress 3.3.2 and Chrome

    @mrplan5, thanks for that suggestion. I contacted iContact support to see if they can verify that the account is not FDO.

    @blackclover, thanks for the suggestion. I use the developer tools regularly and have checked the console reports. In the “Scripts” tab, I get the following call stack messages:

    runResponse (load-scripts.php:2)
    runAJAX.xmlhttp.onreadystatechange (load-scripts.php:2)

    I also receive this in the console:
    SyntaxError: Unexpected token '<'

    I’m currently running WordPress 3.3.1.

    Plugins installed and activated:

  • Flickr Gallery – Version 1.5.2
  • Gravity Forms – Version 1.6.3
  • Gravity Forms iContact Add-On – Version 1.1
  • Widget Classes – Version 0.1
  • WordPress SEO(Yoast) – Version 1.1.5
  • Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

@yellowsnower, I was never able to get this resolved. I chose to move my client to MailChimp instead. Sorry.

When I go to refresh my list from icontact I only get 20 of my list and they appear to be a random 20 at that. I have had this issues with other API setups but they gave me the first 20 list in order which I was easily able to work around. Any suggestions?

I’m seeing the same error message that YellowSnower reported 5 months back. Interestingly (in a bad way) I get this error message even for form submissions that are not using iContact.
