Sorting by alphabetical order in the directory view (7 posts)

    Gravity Forms Directory version: 3.3.1

I did this: Displaying member directory

I expected the plugin to do this: Sort entries in alphabetical order based on "Member Name"

Instead it did this: It appears that the entries are displayed in ascending order according to Entry ID or date_created ...

    Here's a link to see what I mean: http://hardinchamber.com/member-directory/?pagenum=14&sort=date_created&dir=ASC

Please disregard. I found the Form Field IDs and was able to sort accordingly.

Many thanks for the great plugin -

    Hello Wayne,
I need an alphabetical list also for my website http://www.ctproductsandservicdes.com. Is there any chance you could help me?
I am not to savvy though.

    hi wayne,

really like what you did with directory. How did you get it to use the lightbox for single entries?

@ yajanssen - not sure I'd be able to help here, sorry.

@ granatdesign - thanks, but nothing special there - it's one of the settings in the plugin.

thanks for quick reply @ waynebcox

    Can I ask which setting(s)?

Also, it looks like you are using the <dl> option, but when I do it, it is showing the field titles on each entry. Did you hide that with css, or is there an option for that. I don't suppose you could take a screen shot of the settings you used?

The sort using the field ID isn't working for my form and I took a look at Wayne's directory at his site and it appears not to be sorting new entries alphabetically. Any thoughts or suggestions?
