Google XML Sitemaps
only adding 1 sitemap to robots.txt (2 posts)

    Hello,
Im running WP 3.0.1 in multisite mode with the google sitemap generator plugin (multisite version as well).

Everything seems to be working fine...
    - each site is generating a sitemap into the /public_html/sitemaps directory

But it only made 1 change to robots.txt adding the sitemap reference to the / (root) blog - which I'm not even using. Should I manually add those lines to my robots.txt file?

Not sure if it matters, but I'm running multisite in sub-directory mode.

    Thanks for any advice!
    Craig

    i've the same issue....

    http://www.mysite.com/robots.txt :

    User-agent: *
    Disallow:

    Sitemap: http://www.mysite.com/sitemaps/www-mysite-com.xml.gz

    ... fine!

    http://www.mysite.com/otherblog/robots.txt : not exists
    but http://www.mysite.com/sitemaps/www-mysite-com-otherblog.xml.gz exists!

    how i can fix it?
i would like one robots file for any blog, because i've rewrited any subdirectory via .htaccess.

    tnx
