Need Help with the Compress File / sitemape..xml.gz.

I accidently deleted this folder from the root accidently ! Is there anyway to recreate it and its content ?

I tried dropping the sitemap plugin and Then reloading it ( Not deactivate-- reinstalled)

however it still does not put the sitemape..xml.gz. back in my root again with the reinstall.

In want this in there because its the compressed siteemap and is faster and search engines like it better -- less resource.

**** can someone please help me ? ? Iam stuck !!

    Sincerely ,
    Stephen III

You'll have to use an FTP or SFTP client and a plain text editor to create a blank text file called sitemape.xml.gz and then set the permissions of this file to 666. The plugin will take care of the rest when you refresh your sitemap.
