[Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] how to publish the sitemap on a page

  • hi – just a quick answer for you!

There are 2 kinds of sitemaps = sitemap.xml (oneword) is a file in your root directory that searchengines will read to update their database. That’s what this plugin does (and nicely!)

Site Map (2 words) is simply a page (or added to the footer) on a website that lists most links on a site, like an index. These are either generated manually, or you might find a plugin like this works :
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/process-site-map/

If you’re familiar with WordPress menus, you can add a menu to that page or area that will list the pages you want to include (just style it to work with your page.)

    Hope this helps!
