[Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] How do I make sitemaps to create http://www.example.com and not http:/

  • I need sitemaps to create the sitemap with the wwww infront of the URL this is causing me lots of problems, how can I do this??????

  • The URL depends on your WordPress configuration. Please have a look at the WP administration panel and check the settings for WP and Blog URL.

    I have the opposite problem.

    “Additional pages
    Here you can specify files or URLs which should be included in the sitemap, but do not belong to your Blog/WordPress.
    For example, if your domain is http://www.foo.com and your blog is located on http://www.foo.com/blog you might want to include your homepage at http://www.foo.com

    I’ve added some pages there, but in the sitemap www gets added causing errors in Google webmaster tools.

    “We’ve detected that you submitted your Sitemap using a URL path that doesn’t include the www prefix (for instance, http://example.com/sitemap.xml). However, the URLs listed inside your Sitemap do use the www prefix (for instance, http://www.example.com/myfile.htm).”
