# [Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] Getting a Fatal Error

 * When i try to rebuild my sitemap or add a post, it gets this error:
 *     ```
       Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 8192 bytes) in /homepages/31/d129942012/htdocs/ps3themes/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 274
   
       Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /homepages/31/d129942012/htdocs/ps3themes/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 274
       ```
   
 * On the settings page it says:
 * > # The last run didn’t finish! Maybe you can raise the memory or time limit 
   > for PHP scripts. Learn more
   >  # The last known memory usage of the script was
   > 13.81MB, the limit of your server is 40M. # The last known execution time of
   > the script was 6.31 seconds, the limit of your server is 50000 seconds. # The
   > script stopped around post number 2928 (+/- 100)
 * I did what the FAQ said but it’s not working.
