[Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] Fell off page 1 of Google after adding XML sitemap

    I have a simple website for my local business and was on page 1 of Google for most of my select keywords. Almost immediately after adding xml sitemap to my site, I fell from page 1 to page 2 for most of the same keywords. It’s been a few weeks and I haven’t returned to page 1. Was there something that sitemap would have effected to change how I was being indexed?

    The Sitemap really has nothing to do with ranking. But Google has changed their ranking algorithms recently. Probably just seemed the same time but just conincidence.
