This is the message I get

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

    <Message>Update notification has successfully submitted.</Message>

    ws04.search.re2.yahoo.com compressed/chunked Sat Sep 13 05:11:39 PDT 2008

    Any ideas what's missing?

I've tried a few things, but still no idea. Does anyone know how I would associate style information with the xml file?

The plugin searches for "success" somewhere in the response. To debug this you could try the following:

    open the sitemap-core.php
    Search for "//Ping YAHOO"
Add below the line "$pingres=$this->RemoteOpen($sPingUrl);" the following code:

This should output what the plugin receives from YAHOO. Remember to remove the line after you chaed the results.

Recently I have been getting this exact same error.

I'm curious whether anyone has found the reason behind this issue and found a solution.

I will proceed with the "debug" suggestion if I don't hear back shortly.

    Hi again,

A little more testing and adding the debug code to sitemap-core.php suggests that sometimes Yahoo is being notified and not other times. Interestingly I had never noticed this condition in previous releases of the plugin but then again YAHOO might have change something from there end (eg: like frequency of sitemap submission).

Although it would be nice to know the cause of this intermittent condition it's also not that big a deal for me that from time to time a sitemap does not quite make it to Yahoo. I would probably be a little more worried if the this issue was happening with Google.

    Hi rschilt,

the YAHOO service is quite unreliable, returning often simply an error like "not successful" without any details. If it works sometimes, it' probably not the plugins or servers fault.

    Best regards,
