 * I get the following error message when I publish a page, or edit an existing 
   one:
 * `Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '=' in /wp-content/plugins/google-sitemap-
   generator/sitemap-core.php on line 2496`

 * can you check if the files were successfully uploaded? Maybe your FTP program
   canceled the transfer before it was completed.
