When a post is published that I had post-dated, the date within my sitemap shows the revision date, as opposed to the actual post date. This means if I write a post a month in advance, when it is published a month later the date for that post in my sitemap shows that the post is a month old. This seems bad for SEO. . .google doesn’t seem to be indexing my posts quickly when they go up on my site, that’s how i noticed this problem.
Any help is greatly appreciated, not sure what to do here. Should I try a different sitemap plugin?
Thanks so much,
