[Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] Can’t rebuild sitemap… error on class-snoopy.php

    I get these errors on XML Sitemap Generator for WordPress 3.1.0.1 dashboard:

    * The last run didn’t finish! Maybe you can raise the memory or time limit for PHP scripts. Learn more
    * The last known memory usage of the script was 14MB, the limit of your server is 64M.
    * The last known execution time of the script was 0.03 seconds, the limit of your server is 60 seconds.
    * The script stopped around post number 21 (+/- 100)
    * If you changed something on your server or blog, you should rebuild the sitemap manually.
    * If you encounter any problems with the build process you can use the debug function to get more information.

    And in the debug function I’m getting these errors:

    Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to http://www.google.com:80 (Connection timed out) in /home/nacascadoovo/public_html/nacascadoovo/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php on line 1157

    I get this also from time to time, are you by any chance on a windows server?

    I’m not on a Windows server.

    Well, 24h has passed and I’m still getting this. It’s sad.

    Was this when you published a post?
    If so can you see the new post live?
    Are you able to get into your admin panel at all or are you completely locked out?

    i have similar problem. I’m using wordpress 2.6.1 and the XML Sitemap Generator for WordPress 3.1.0.1

    * Your sitemap was last built on Friday, 5 September 2008 16:41.
    * Your sitemap (zipped) was last built on Friday, 5 September 2008 16:41.
    * There was a problem while notifying Google. View result
    * There was a problem while notifying MSN.com. View result
    * There was a problem while notifying Ask.com. View result
    * The building process took about 0.15 seconds to complete and used 10 MB of memory.
    * If you changed something on your server or blog, you should rebuild the sitemap manually.
    * If you encounter any problems with the build process you can use the debug function to get more information.

    and on the debug function:
