[Resolved] [Plugin: Google Content Experiments] Experiment code missing error, but is is there

    I am trying to do a Google experiment and get the following error:
    +++++++++
    Experiment code missing the cookie domain name declared in tracking code:line:584, column:16.
    Your page customizes the cookie domain name in the Google Analytics tracking code. The same customization should be present in the experiment code.
    +++++++++
    Installed the Google Content Experiments plug-in, updated header.php and the code is in the source of my page. Skipping the validation also did not work.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    The error is not caused by the plugin or your code update, but by Google itself (experiment code).

    Based on this topic I think you should be able to fix the code.

    Please let me know whether you managed to get your page validated.

    Since I got this question a lot recently, I’ll add this to the FAQ.
