Okay, so I’ve got this plugin up and running and i’m trying to find all the custom metadata that Joost was talking about.
For example, I’m trying to find the author data – ie, to see how popular the posts are by various authors. I watched Joost’s example but I can’t find it anywhere in google analytics. Could there be something wrong with the way my templates are set up? ie, how does google know who the author of a page it? Should there be some special div class around the Author’s name?
Second. What exactly are “Events”? I keep trying to read about them but google’s instructions are aimed at developers and are way over my head. For example, let’s say I want to find out how popular various links on my nav bar are. Is that the kind of thing I can track via events and this plugin? How am I supposed to set that up? Any instructions lurking around somewhere?
