I installed Google Analytics for WordPress on Theatre Tickets Cheap and was stumped as to why outbound link tracking was not beng recorded in Google Analytics. Plugin had outbound tracking enabled and Firefox reported no javascript errors when clicking outbound links.

I emailed Yoast but got no response and so struggled with this for a few weeks. The solution was in disabling another plugin – Sexy Bookmarks was somehow stopping outbound link tracking from working.

If you have plugin problems, other plugins can be the cause!

Thanks for the tip. I’m using Sexy Bookmarks too and have been wondering why I’m not seeing any Events in Google Analytics. I’m going to (reluctantly) disable Sexy Bookmarks and see if GA starts showing Simple URLs clicks as events.

I hope this can be fixed, Sexy Bookmarks is my favorite social plugin.

Disabling Sexy Bookmarks didn’t get event tracking working, I have some other issue apparently.
