I have WPMU installed and a couple of hundred WP sites created, all with Google Analytics profiles, and all profiles are from the same Google Analytics account. I have upgraded to the latest version of Google Analyticator and I have been able to get it working once again for a couple of the sites Ive tested it on (requesting permission from Google Analytics for the plugin, adding the token and then selecting the correct profile).

But having to do this manual process on each individual site would take some serious time. I was hoping I could write a script to update the ga_google_token and ga_google_authtoken settings in the options table for each site. But it looks like the ga_google_token will be different for each site and so this wont be possible?

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi uisneach,

Sorry to give you the bad news, but yes, the way the plugin is coded at present, you’d have to authenticate individually.

If all the domains were in the same Google account, you’d be able to fork our plugin and modify the code to do this.

    Ben
