  • hi to all !!!

    I’ve got a little problem with the counter of unique visitors in front office. I’ve reset GA several times since yesterday and done the update this morning and when I try to include the widget in the my sidebar my website (http://alertes38.org) tell me this message :

    Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Google_ServiceException’ with message ‘Error calling GET https://www.googleapis.com/analytics/v3/data/ga?ids=ga%3A&start-date=2011-09-20&end-date=2012-09-18&metrics=ga%3Avisitors: (400) Invalid value ‘ga:’. • Hi,

    Are you using the latest version of the plugin?

    It looks from there- that you haven’t selected a domain name from the dropdown menu in the settings page.

    Is that correct?

    Ben

    The drop down is on the settings page, Settings -> Google Analytics (not sure of the translations sorry!)

    I don’t have any extra code …. and when I try to reset the widget no more dropdown…. In the setting page the dropdown is ok…. :-/

    Looks like you’ve fixed one of the problems on your site now – how are you going?

    Sorry for the late answer but I don’t fix the problem at all !!! I don’t have any extra code in any box the dropdown is set up on the right account of GA I’ don’t kwow why I don’t have any dropdown in my widget interface (when I set up the colors, days of data …)

    GA ver. 6.3.4
    WP ver. 3.4.2โ€“en_US

    Dashboard widget works 100% ok
    Plugin settings: default after reset, no add code

    @dantetg

    Once you have activated the plugin, and authenticated with Google – you go to the settings page and select a domain name from the dropdown, then save, correct?

    Ben

    hi to all !!!

    After trying to see if there’s no conflicts in by DB (I don’t think there is..) deinstall ans reinstall the plugin there’s always this error

    [ Moderator Note: Please post code or markup snippets (including log messages) between backticks or use the code button. ]

    Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Google_ServiceException' with message 'Error calling GET https://www.googleapis.com/analytics/v3/data/ga?ids=ga%3A&start-date=2012-09-19&end-date=2012-09-19&metrics=ga%3Avisitors: (400) Invalid value 'ga:'. dashboard works very fine and all parameters in settings page with dropdown on my google account is ok.

    does it desperate ??? ๐Ÿ˜‰ or not…

    From what you’ve pasted – it looks as if there is no account ID being passed, which means there hasn’t been a domain selected and saved from the dropdown on the Google Analytics setting page.

    Ben

    In my setting page I’ve got the name of my Google account set up properly I think….
    I don’t see anymore what I have to do : the dashbord is ok so I think that the link between google account and my blog is good but the widget don’t show me the dropdown to select a google account.

    @videousermanuals
    yep, domain name is selected properly

    I’ve tried to delete properly the plugin and reinstall completly and the problem with the widget is here again Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Google_ServiceException' with message 'Error calling GET https://www.googleapis.com/analytics/v3/data/ga?ids=ga%3A&start-date=2011-09-21&end-date=2012-09-19&metrics=ga%3Avisitors: (400) Invalid value 'ga:'. Any Ideas because I think my setting page is set up properly… ๐Ÿ™
