    Hi,
I like the sound of this content block plugin, but I have a hopefully simple question: I want to put shortcodes for other plugins in the content blocks and it doesn’t seem to work. Is this not supported, or am I somehow just not putting it in right? I put the shortcode in on its own, in < code > tags, and using all the Type options with the content block just presenting it as literal text on the front end.

What I’m basically trying to put into the content block is this:
    <div class="wrapper">[vslider name="aslideshow"]</div>

    Thanks.

Apologies for the delay in responding, managed to miss this question. The short answer is it’s not something I’ve tried to do but I’ guessing the issue is to do with the order WP interprets the shortcuts.

Can you try putting your vslider shortcut in a page, then copy the source code of the result and put that in the content block?

FYI, the new version (1.4) of the plugin has been updated on the repository and includes this feature. Just put your shortcode [vslider name=”aslideshow”] in a content block and it should work.

Please feel free to give the plugin a rating at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/global-content-blocks/.

    Thanks,
