Support » Plugin: Geo Mashup » [Plugin: Geo Mashup] Gravity Form – Location Save

I am allowing users to submit via a gravity form. This is then saved as a custom post and is working 100%.

However, on submitting the form I would like them to be able to save the location as I would in the wp admin section.

i.e. I would like them to see the location lookup map box thing on the gravity form, please let me know if this can be done?

I’ve considered writing a gravity forms add-on to do that, but I haven’t done it yet. The simplest way to get something working is to set the “Geocode Custom Field” Geo Mashup setting to something like “place_name”, then add a Gravity Forms custom field text input to save to that field.

I have done this, but then the address still needs to be geocoded. In fact one has to re-type the address in that search location box on the post (edit mode). Anyhow thanks for your plugin and feedback.

The address geocodes automatically for me in a test setup. Here’s the Geo Mashup setting I used:

and here’s the Gravity Forms field:

Dylan, no idea why it did not work before but it is working now.

I set the custom-field to capture to as geo_address and it somehow geo-coded it.

I must have done something wrong up front.
