After installation and activation of this plugin, there is no Appearance > Header option.

What to do? (By the way, I have seen the thread titled similarly that talks about people changing theme names. I have not changed my theme name, installation folder, or anything else for that matter.)

Yeah, I'm a slacker. I haven't added that one in yet. I'll do an update for the plugin this week to add Generate.

Cool--I'm not "missing" something then. Thought I was going CRAZY.

    Hi,

I am having the EXACT same issue, and I am using the theme Rebirth 1.5 by Justin Scheetz - can you help?

    Thank you!
    Amy

GnosticGirl, I don't have access to the child themes that are not part of the Genesis Pro Pack. Because of that, I don't have the ability to test them out, so they aren't supported by this plugin.

    Sorry about that.

I'm using Genesis Agency Theme and don't see your plugin when I go to Appearance > Header Am I missing something?

John, did you change the name of the theme by any chance? Also, what version of WP and Genesis are you using currently?

No change to theme name, WordPress 3.4 Genesis 1.8.2

Not sure what I should be seeing. The header interface looks the same as before, image upload option, remove option, reset option, text. That's it.

    Ah ha!

Some of the Genesis plugins don't have the option for adding a header using the Appearance -> Header tool. That's all this plugin does. Nothing else. So, if you are seeing Appearance -> Header, then things are working fine.

Rats. Well, Agency is an odd theme in that it has all the bells and whistles for a genesis commercial theme but the default is a text section in the header. I got an image logo to work and using CSS got it where I want it but am having a heck of a time styling the background (as it pulls from the whole page background). I was grasping at straws hoping your plugin would give me control over that.

    Thanks for the time.

I am using eleven40 and have the same problem - not appearance->header Option

I have not changed the name of the theme.

@bubsngrubs, eleven40 is proving to be an interesting one because of the way I've written the plugin. It's a responsive theme and that is throwing a wrench in to things.

I'm trying to sort out how best to handle the responsive nature of the theme inside the plugin. I'll see about getting a release out this week.

    Hi John

Have you managed a fix for eleven40 – have just started to learn my way around WP/Genesis and going in circles trying to change header on my first site.

I can upload the image I want to use but can’t get rid of the Text when in the Header edit area and no matter what goes in in there I don’t see the new image on the website.

I created a new thread for my issue three weeks ago - but I'm using the Lifestyle child theme and the header has disappeared, as has the Appearance -> Header option.

Please help as my clients aren't super happy!

Made a little bit of progress today (first time I’ve had some time to have a play) - can now see my Logo (though its partially obscured by an orange box!!!) and add 'how do you get a Favicon to work' into the mix.

I’ve put in a help request to StudioPress.

According to the StudioPress support team it looks like the Header is not so simple with the Eleven40 Theme and I'll need to get some Pro help.

Favicon sorted - the StudioPress guys pointed me at Genesis Favicon Uploader by Christopher Cochrane (worked first time).
