[Plugin: Genesis Featured Widget Amplified] Displaying specific bbPress topics

    Hi Nick,

    Great plugin 🙂

    I have a bbPress setup with a number of different forums. On my general content pages I want to display a simple list of latest topics from a specific forum within the sidebar.

    I can see I can select “forum” or “topics” as custom post type within the widget, but is there any way to configure it to display topics associated with a specific forum, rather than all topics?

    I’m not aware of doing that. I’m not fully sure I understand why bbPress makes the forums a separate custom post type instead of a taxonomy. I think it uses custom field data to associate topics with a specific forum and replies with a specific topic.

    If that is true and if you know the field information you could use that same custom field value to retrieve just those topics.
