After trying everything I could think of to make stars on our site show up I still fail, so I thought I’d ask for a bit of help if possible.
We are running a site with WPMU enabled for 3 other sub-sites, and we installed GD Star Rating because it supports microdata. The problem is that stars aren’t showing, and it only shows “Rating: 0.0/10 (0 votes cast)”.
I also installed it on another site, which isn’t using WPMU, and it is working fine there so I assume WPMU might have something to do with it, but I’m not 100% sure and I don’t know what about WPMU exactly is disrupting it.
About the only thing I’ve been able to gather is that gdsr.css.php isn’t being read properly, because I see different CSS in Chrome’s “inspect element” on our working site than on the one where it’s not working.
That said, CSS and JS do show up in the header, and wp_head() call is in the theme where it should be. We are also not showing it in excerpts, so it’s not that either. I checked and rechecked our settings, tried calling it manually from the template, selecting all graphics and rescanning, trying different star graphics, disabling all caching, disabling plugins that might conflict, and none of it worked.
I also tried restoring default WP .htaccess entries (replacing WPMU ones), and removing WPMU stuff from wp-config.php, and it didn’t help, although this isn’t a full roll back of WPMU. That would require deleting database entries and sub-sites, which we can’t do at this point.
Any ideas about what could be the culprit? If it’s WPMU, is there some way it could be configured to resolve the conflict (whatever it is)?
It’s worth noting we’re getting this in our server logs:
PHP Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in /wp-content/plugins/gd-star-rating/css/gdsr.css.php on line 65
