No it’s not a bug, name can’t be changed. When you create custom post type, name you give to it is used to save posts into the database. If you rename it, posts will not be visible.

Pro version of the plugin has much more advanced post type editor, and one of the things it can do is to check if the name is used in the database already. If it was not used to create posts, it will allow you to change it.

For Lite right now, if you have just created it and made a mistake, you must delete old one, but if you made posts already, you must change the database also.

    Thanks. All the best.

is there a ay to make any texonomy and custom post medatory to use ( i mean required) ?
i am using classipress theme and was illing to add an additional texonomy called Locations that could allow people to select their country and city along with Categories but as a seprate feature. i could add the custom texonomy then link that to post type , also could get it adde din the menu but it doesnt sho any result on front end . example if some one post a classified ad in CAT,SubCat and then Country, City.
On front end you can find that add in the lists when you click that cat or sub cat but dont list when click country or sub city. any idea?
