  • Resolved Ovidiu

    I was just curios if it would somehow be possible with this plugin to tag pages?
    I know there are some other plugins that allow this but since this plugin allows modification/combination of custom post types with custom taxonomies, maybe it could be possible to extend the scope of the plugin a little?
    Or maybe connect a custom taxonomy to pages? I guess that is already possible?

    Pro version has many more features than Lite, and right now it adds excerpt to pages, next one will add tags to pages also. But I plan to add much more control over the default post types and taxonomies.

    GD Custom Posts And Taxonomies Tools Pro:

    honestly, I am not a fan of plugins that have light/pro versions.
    Either I consider a plugin so useful and well-done that I donate/buy or not.

    Of course I could use free plugins to add excerpts and contents to pages, I have formerly used 2 plugins to do that but that adds too much overhead and I think it belongs into your plugin’s realm.

    Will keep an eye on the progress of this plugin, I might buy it. Till now I was not in need of any of the features of the pro version.

    Thx for the good coding anyway.

    Donations simply don’t work. And that’s why I started premium plugins services. All new features I develop are now only for Pro plugin versions (not only this one, but almost all the other plugins I make). And brand new plugins I make now are only premium.

    Plenty of new things will be added to Pro version, and many of the features added so far are on the request of the premium users.

    I wasn’t criticizing! With these features you almost convinced me to buy, will follow the progress of the plugin though before I buy.

    got tags for pages working by editing my functions.php added this code:

    add_action( 'init', 'create_mycustom_taxonomies', 0 );
    function create_mycustom_taxonomies() {
    register_taxonomy( 'post_tag', 'page', array(
    'hierarchical' => false,
    'update_count_callback' => '_update_post_term_count',
    'query_var' => false,
    'rewrite' => false,
    'public' => true,
    'show_ui' => true,
    '_builtin' => true,
    ) );
