    For me, I just dropped the same css rule from the original css, into the bottom of my stylesheet for my theme. Just add “!important” to each element of the css rule that you want to override from the original. The following shows just changing the color, but I’ve actually added nice gradients in the real case. It depends on where in the header the css file for Testimonials, is linked – before the theme’s style.css or after.

    #testimonials_container .testimonial .inner{
    background: #fcecfc !important;
    }
