[Resolved] [Plugin: Gallery Metabox] Just onelittle additional feature

  • Hi Bill, I’m using your plugin and I’m in a situation where images description is important for the user, so I’d like to be able to see it hovering every images in the metabox.

    So I’ve modified line 78 of your plugin file to:

    echo '<img src="' . $thumbnail[0] . '" alt="' . get_the_title() . '" title="'.get_the_content().'" /> ';

    Hope to see this little addition in a future version.

    Shouldn’t title be get_the_title() and alt be get_the_content() ?

    Your argument is logically flawless, but in practice I think is more a matter of preferences.
    The “Descriptions” can be some paragraphs long while “Titles” are usually some words long so I think is more suitable to show a single phrase in case images cannot be loaded.

    I’ve updated trunk to use get_the_content for the title, as you recommended. I’ve also wrapped it in an output filter in case anyone else wants to modify it.

    I didn’t increase the version number since this is a fairly minor change and most people won’t notice the value.

    You should be able to download it by clicking “Development Version” here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gallery-metabox/download/

    Perfect. Thanks a lot Bill!
