    Hi,
I have a problem with uploading images with Gallery plugin. Every time I try to upload I get this message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4096 bytes) in /hosting/www/mojevzdelavani.eu/wordpress/wp-includes/media.php on line 1010
This shows every time, no difference if I’m uploading 1 image about 10kB or 50 images. And what’s even stranger, the files are uploaded successfully (I can see them in Upload folder on server after that). So I don’t think it’s problem about memory limit, it’s rather about not updating database informations of new images in gallery after their upload.
    My memory_limit is 40M

    Hello,

Try to use a standard WordPress uploader in the gallery editing page (hope it will help). If you will get the same error the it means that WordPress has not enough resources for the images processing. It is possible that you have many plugins which are adding size for the images or something written in the theme, that is why WordPress make copies of current image.

The only plugin that I have installed near Gallery plugin is Contact form… The WBS Gallery plugin is very simple to use so I wouldn’t like to change it for another option. I moved to another webhosting with 128M memory limit and the problem is solved.
