[Plugin: FT Calendar] Sync with FB events?

  • Dear friends. We are consistently using FT Calendar in our website, which is heavily event-oriented, and I are having very good response. We would like to ask if it is possible to export/sync our FT events to Facebook events? In other words, is there a way to keep our FB events automatically updated from our FT-WP events?

  • I don’t think Facebook allows importing events. If it did and was setup to import from an iCal feed, then the Premium version would offer this functionality. But as I said, I don’t think Facebook allows you to import events.

Hi Lew, I am not using FB yet. But I found these 2 applications on the web that might enable syncing wordpress to FB:

WP plugin that create events automatically when you create WordPress posts. Seems to work just like the event box of FT Calendar in the post editor, so quite convenient. But this is a duplicated work for the user because we are entering the same event info for this plugin and for FT Calendar.

This is a FB app that sync FB events with an iCalendar file. That could be a good complimentary solution to FT if FT could keep an iCalendar file update.

Anyway, seems that this turned up more into a feature request isn’t it? I just wondered if you had already thought about this matter before and that there would be a workaround, maybe not the case. Hope the links above help somehow. Much love.

Sounds like that iCal to FB Event app would work with FT Calendar. iCal is available in the premium version only though.
