[Plugin: Frontpage-Slideshow] Plugin doesn't work after upgrade
-
The plugin has stopped working after a recent upgrade.
plugin unique ID is: 2571
On checking the output html, I saw that its not picking articles from the selected category.
The images do not load – neither on admin side nor on the site.
-
does the category option still there ? if yes : click on the “save options” and see if it is working now
My plugin stopped working after I made the most recent upgrade. Now Frontpage Slideshow options only show “In Case of Trouble” content. The How to Use box stays collapsed.
I also get the error message: “Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/swimmi11/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/frontpage-slideshow/frontpage-slideshow.php on line 685”
Not sure what my plugin unique id is, as I can’t find it without access to the plugin panel.
@karen Kubiak since it is not the same problem as doctorb, I’ll answer to your topic
Hi Jeff,
tried that. No luck!
On reading Karen’s thread, I tried to use the fill code too and tried deactivating the plugin. Now it does fetch the articles from the desired category (in html code) but doesn’t show anything -either on admin side or homepage – just a black screen with a twirling circle.
any javascript errors on admin page ?
Yes! here is a screen shot of errors
http://hpathy.com/uploads/fserror.jpgSame here, slideshow loads the image via HTTP but javascript is not rendering it.
Your plugin unique ID is: 7453
doctorb : can you, please, use firefox to show me the errors ? IE do not give anything usable
Hi Jeff, I solved the problem at the admin side. The plugin Wp_Diro Pro hooks the jquery wrongly on all admin plugin pages. Disabling that brings the slideshow live on the admin side. But no luck on the home page even after disabling most other plugins.
Firefox shows following errors related to FS
Error: jQuery(“.fs-img”).last is not a function
Source File: http://hpathy.com/
Line: 296Error: a.ui is undefined
Source File: http://hpathy.com/wp-content/plugins/frontpage-slideshow/js/jquery-ui-interactions.js?ver=3.0.1
Line: 13Error: jQuery(“.fs-img”).last is not a function

Line: 276No other errors reported.
I am not sure what worked. but I just downgraded to .9.8 manually and it solved the prblem
I just upgraded to the latest version and my slideshow is not working correctly either. It is pulling in the from both category of posts I have. I only have the help category selected (which is the category I only use for the slideshow), but it’s pulling from both.
I do not have a uniq id I’m not sure why, but I don’t.
Here is the warning that is coming up on the slideshow page in my admin section.

Please help this is very important this site is live and my client is freaking out.
Thanks for your help.
Jamie
Ok I just got it to work. I went under the About categories and posts and changed Slides / Posts order: to specified order/ menu order
It was set to ID before.
However I am still getting the error in the admin panel the same as above. Also in IE it says done, but with errors. I pasted the error below.
