You have to put the shortcode in the text editor of your articles, pages, etc.
You can also put it in a text widget.
And you also can do it right in your theme files with the do_shortcode() function : http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/do_shortcode

Putting it in articles, I have placement problems, as the form is processed before the rest of the text, doing it appear just after my article title. Do you experience the same behavior ?
I wonder if it’s a bug from the plugin or a kind of conflict between plugins.

I would like to make full use of this plugin but am having trouble. I have a simple twentyeleven site. I have installed the plugin and added the shortcode to a page. I’ve uploaded an image file. Moderated it approving it. I can’t find it on the site. can only navigate to it from the admin media library when I select view. Can anyone give me a quick tip to display the image after approving it. or displaying a link on the page it was uploaded on?

Ru55ell, it’s going to be attached to the page where you uploaded it. You can reattach it to any other post and display it with the [gallery] shortcode

Thanks Rinat. I added [gallery]and the thumbnail now shows up on the page. I’m brand new at this. I’m going to look into adding the caption too, maybe Gallery shortcode options. I’ll be researching.
I’ll also be looking at requiring anyone uploading be a registered user.
    Thanks for the plugin
