[Plugin: Front-end Editor] Possible to Restrict Front-End Edit of post based on Author?

  • redwall

    @redwall

    Hi,

    Plugin looks exactly like what I am after.

    However, I am going to have multiple authors (no backend access allowed) I manually assign a post to them and want to allow them do edits on the frontend.

    Is it possible with this plugin or perhaps with another role based plugin to only allow the actual author of the post to have editing capabilities on the frontend?

    Thanks

    This would be PERFECT!! I don’t want everyone to be able to edit everyone else’s posts 🙂

    Could this be accomplished by incorporating (user_is_loggedin || is_author) ??

    Plugin Author scribu

    They can’t! FEE does the same cap checks as wp-admin.

    As for redwall’s question, see https://github.com/scribu/wp-front-end-editor/wiki/Actions-and-filters

    That’s SWEET!

    Plus, (stupidly) I was testing as an admin…giving me global permissions. Signed back in as regular user…VOI LA!! It works BEAUTIFULLY!
